It all started in 1986 with a full line pet store that specialized in marine aquariums. Seven years in, we ventured into different areas where there was a need to fill. The mail-order business was one of those ventures. Our company had access to great looking Caribbean live rock, and had sand off the reef. We felt the rest of the nation as well as other countries would want to enjoy what we had available and we were right. We started advertising in FAMA along with a handful of livestock mail-order companies. The demand grew quickly and the request for other livestock was dramatic. Using some time-tested techniques from established wholesalers as well as a three fold, black and white catalog, we started shipping all types of marine livestock all over the world.

Our next decision revolutionized the marine aquarium industry forever. We decided to take our business to the web and started building an enormous website filled with information and most importantly.....pictures. We had over 500 pages and even Universities used it as a reference. The catalog became a full color catalog and we introduced a number of very recognizable critters to the industry. For instance, the Scarlet Reef Hermit. AT&T WorldNet was launched that year in NYC featuring our website. We were their second commercial account. Kraft was their first. The name of our company was Aquatic Connection. We received tremendous exposure as a company but more importantly, we got everyone's attention as an industry. Perhaps our most important accomplishment was that we put many companies "in" business as opposed to "out" of business. The beneficiary.......you, the hobbyist. Those of you who dealt with us know that customer satisfaction was something we were known for throughout the news groups and chat rooms.

I sold the company and retired from the industry five years ago to pursue other interests but kept a vigil eye and obviously, could not stay away. We have decided to bring you the best in equipment and supplies. We hope that as Web Aquatics we can make as great a contribution to our industry and our customers as we have in the past.
