Mike and Danielle started a marine aquarium maintenance business, in June of 2004. This business quickly blossomed into an online coral sales company, which some of you may remember as, MDM Aquatic Management.

Very quickly, the online corals sales began to outpace the maintenance aspect of their business. It was quickly made apparent, that if this was going to be the path their business would follow, Mike and Danielle decided that they must make a few changes. They began brainstorming in the early spring of 2005. However, with a wedding scheduled for late that fall, they decided to get their planning done in the meantime and begin the transition after the holidays of 2005.

This brings us to the present date, May 2006. Mike and Danielle began whittling down their livestock to just brood stock colonies in a 250 gallon system, in January of 2006. Then construction began.

With the help of family, friends and customers, walls were framed, electricity was roughed in and drywall was hung. To the two of them, it seemed as if time was moving in slow motion. Both still working full time jobs, outside of the business, nearly all of their spare time has been poured into finishing the project.

Throughout the expansion project, there were occasional setbacks and minor bumps in the road. However, Mike and Danielle persevered and continued working hard to complete the task at hand. As the systems were finished and set up, livestock was gradually added. The old holding systems were retired and the livestock relocated into newly established systems.

Mike and Danielle look forward to turning a new page, as they create a new beginning with The Coral Shoppe. They thank you, for your continued support and ask you to join them on their journey.
